SalesPad 5.5.7 Release Notes

SalesPad v5.5.7 is now available! Many helpful new features have been added since 5.5.2.

Picking Assignments

Picking assignments streamline warehouse fulfillment operations and eliminate paper pick tickets by ensuring warehouse pickers know exactly which orders they need to fulfill. With the new picking assignment functionality in Inventory Manager, pickers and picking groups can be set up, and sales orders can then be assigned for fulfillment. SalesPad introduces a new workflow plugin and a new Automation Agent (AA) job, which will automatically assign sales orders to pickers based on configured rules. Both of the SalesPad features rely on the Inventory Manager configuration to determine which picker or group to assign.

The workflow plugin is available in SalesPad for those with Inventory Manager, and the AA job is included with Automation Agent. These features require new DLLs to be installed for SalesPad, and we encourage you to connect with Cavallo if you are interested in adding them.

Payment Link Workflow Rules 

New built-in workflow rules are available for checking whether a sales document has a payment link and whether all payment links for the sales document are paid. There are separate rules for PayFabric, PayLinks, and Square payment links. Add these checks into your workflow to route orders with payment links into special queues to await payment and ensure orders are only shipped once they are paid.

Smart Printing Maintenance

The process of setting up automatic printing and emailing in Smart Printing Maintenance is more streamlined:

• New and changed records are now flagged with an info icon so that pending changes are obvious
• ‘Copy To’ button makes it simple to copy a configuration to other Doc IDs
• Multiple configurations can be selected at once for bulk copying and deleting
• Closing the screen without saving will now ask the user whether the pending changes should be saved

Lot Attributes

Lot Number Entry has a new Lot Attributes tab for viewing and updating the attributes for a lot item within SalesPad. Attribute names are loaded based on GP setup to make it easy for users to know which attributes they are referencing and updating. Viewing and editing within this tab are controlled by security.

Other Important Updates

• ☆☆☆ Custom Cost UDFs can now be added to the New Vendor Special Costing screen so they can be entered when creating a new vendor cost record
• ☆☆☆ Purchase Order Entry now has an On Closing script hook, which can be used for custom processing, such as preventing closing the PO if the user must enter more required fields first
• ☆☆☆ Cash Receipts now allow taking a payment via a Square terminal
• Better UI for high DPI monitors, which can be enabled by flagging the new Enable High DPI checkbox at the bottom of the System Information screen and then restarting SalesPad (note that enabling this may cause UI issues on monitors that are not high DPI)
• Global speed improvements related to printing, emailing, and evaluating workflow rules
• Updated SalesPad application icons
