SalesPad 5.5.2 Release Notes

SalesPad v5.5.2 is now available! Many helpful new features have been added since 5.4.10.

Square Payment Links

SalesPad now supports Square’s payment link functionality!  Generate a payment link for a sales order in SalesPad and send the link’s URL to the customer via Smart Printing.  Once they make a payment, that information automatically syncs back to the order in SalesPad.  If you already use Square with SalesPad, you only need to upgrade to start using payment links.

Sales Document Import Updates

The sales document with lines import has new capabilities, so that you can now:

  • Import multiple sales lines for the same new sales document while still autogenerating the Sales Doc Num for that document
  • Import new sales lines onto existing sales documents
  • Import sales line UDFs
  • Import sales line pricing from the sheet, and audit the price that would have been assigned during manual document entry
  • Audit successful imports to the document 

Manufacturing Improvements

  • Manufacturing BOM Entry no longer allows editing the BOM Number for existing BOMs, which could cause various issues
  • Routing Entry’s Routing Sequence Dockable Plugin has a new Alt+N shortcut to create a new routing sequence, and after creating a new routing sequence it will automatically focus the top-left-most field in Routing Entry for the user to begin editing
  • Routing Sequence Entry has a new Default Work Center ID security which will automatically populate the work center for new routing sequences

Other Important Updates

  • ☆☆☆ Inventory Lookup has a new Clear button to quickly clear all search fields
  • ☆☆☆ Item Maintenance now supports viewing and editing the default Purchasing UofM
  • Lot attributes, including the Manufacture Date and Expiration Date, can now be entered at the time of receipt via the Receiving and Receipt Entry screens in SalesPad
  • When creating returns and RMAs from posted invoices, header and line UDFs will now automatically copy from the invoice to the new return/RMA (UDFs must have the same field name to copy)
  • Distribution BOM assemblies now support creating the serial/lot fulfillment for the finished good item, no more going into GP for this step!
  • EDI outbound 855, 856, and 810 now have special settings to enable rolling up exploded kit package components, so that each exploded kit shows as one line with rolled up pricing
  • Customer AR Statement reports for parent accounts now include the children accounts’ aging bucket data
  • The Script Helper panel found in the script editors in SalesPad will now remember its docked state, size, and position, for easier continued use
  • SalesPad applications have been confirmed to support Dynamics GP 18.7 (October 2024 release)
